Overview: The Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University (the Center) is seeking i-team Data Analytics Managers to support new Innovation Teams ("i-teams") in the cities listed above. These teams collaborate with city governments and communities to address complex challenges, generate ambitious solutions, and test interventions for impactful outcomes. Each city is part of Bloomberg American Sustainable Cities, a three-year initiative aimed at developing transformative local solutions to build low-carbon, resilient, and economically thriving communities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for utilizing quantitative data to understand complex issues at the intersection of climate and racial equity.

  • Collaborate with city leadership, departments, and stakeholders to identify data needs and opportunities for impactful interventions.

  • Analyze diverse datasets to inform policy decisions and measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.

  • Present data-driven insights to various audiences, including community members and policymakers, to foster informed decision-making.

  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, public policy, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferably within public sector innovation or urban policy contexts.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as R, Python, or SQL.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights for diverse audiences.

  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and sustainability in urban environments.
