Job Description:
TEKsystems is seeking a Data Center Network Architect to collaborate with a Data Center Systems Architect at the client location. This role supports the build-out of disparate systems in an unconventional infrastructure model. The client is deploying small form factor hardware that does not reside in standard data centers or racks and has limited or intermittent connectivity, such as on Naval ships. The Architects will participate in client meetings to intake requirements and advise on future architecture, design, and hardware solutions. The resource must be available to perform all services on the customer's premises in San Diego, CA.
Required Skills:
* Experience as a Data Center Network Architect with a focus on networking: routing, switching, and network optimization.
* Ability to participate in client meetings, intake client requirements, and make recommendations on design, architecture, and hardware.
* Expert experience with configuring, implementing, and deploying Mellanox Network Switches.
* Mastery of Networking Infrastructure Concepts for seamless integration with existing infrastructure.
* Expert experience in Network Performance Optimization.
* Strong communication and organizational skills to engage directly with various levels of customer and HPE teams.
Key Activities:
* Conduct an in-depth assessment of current infrastructure, including network architecture, hardware configurations, and performance metrics.
* Optimize configurations for performance, security, and scalability, leveraging best practices and industry standards.
* Develop a roadmap for integrating Mellanox switching technologies in the customer environment.
* Implement necessary technologies to prioritize critical applications and workloads.
* Provide knowledge transfer sessions to empower Customer IT staff with the skills and expertise needed to manage and maintain Mellanox Switching environments effectively.
* Fine-tune Mellanox switching configurations to maximize throughput, reduce latency, and enhance overall network performance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
* This position requires an active DoD Clearance (Secret, Top Secret, Top Secret/SCI) or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret or Interim Top Secret clearance.
* Because an active or interim DoD clearance is required, U.S. Citizenship is required.
