We are seeking an experienced SAP Basis Administrator with a strong emphasis on SAP Basis and Security Administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical leadership in the design, implementation, and maintenance of SAP systems, ensuring the security and stability of our SAP landscape. This role requires a deep understanding of SAP Basis and Security Administration, along with the ability to architect solutions that align with business objectives.
Position Summary & Responsibilities
Architect and design SAP landscapes, considering performance, security, and scalability.
Lead the implementation and configuration of SAP systems, ensuring best practices are followed.
Oversee SAP Basis administration tasks, including system installations, upgrades, and patches.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system configurations.
Develop and implement SAP security strategies, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of data.
Administer user access, roles, and authorizations, conducting regular security audits.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing technical guidance and recommendations.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP landscapes, configurations, and security policies.
Develop and update technical documentation for system administration and security procedures.
Initiate, review, and collaborate on change control for system initiatives.
Support end users and project teams in system solutioning.
Minimum Qualifications
Proven experience as an SAP Solution Architect with a focus on Basis and Security Administration.
In-depth knowledge of SAP technologies, including ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, and SAP Fiori.
Expertise in SAP Basis administration tasks, system installations, upgrades, and performance tuning.
Strong background in SAP Security Administration, user access management, and role design.
Experience with SAP GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex SAP issues.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
Demonstrated understanding of system development in cloud environments, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
Familiarity with CSV methodology and practice in a pharma system landscape
High degree of comfort working with management and managing expectations in a fast paced, dynamic environment that comes with being part of a new product team.
Professional oral and written communication, presenting to senior level audiences containing one or more decision maker (s).
Ability to travel onsite as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
SAP certifications in Basis and Security Administration are highly desirable
7-10+ years of SAP experience (architecting and delivering SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA solutions)
Knowledge of MES, Serialization system, and other SAP eco systems and integration a plus
SAP S/4HANA experience a plus
Understanding of Life Sciences regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, GxP); experience implementing SAP solutions with compliance considerations

Our target base pay hiring range for this position is $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year. Actual base pay is dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's geographical location, relevant experience, qualifications, skills and knowledge.
